You would think that the fact that credit card debt is a virtual epidemic in this country would let the credit card companies know that its time to get on the side of the consumer to learn responsible use of credit. We need to be smart consumers because as much as credit card companies try to make credit cards seem fun and happy and like big toys in your wallet, they are not toys. The stupid credit card tricks can be really fun to look at and sometimes enticing. You want a credit card company that deals straight with you. By keeping in mind what a credit card company actually does and that credit cards are mature adult tools, not games or toys, we can keep in perspective how to use our credit cards and how to keep from abusing credit which will lead to the nightmare of credit card debt.

Even if you’re up to your eyes in debt, getting out of debt soon is a real possibility. However, if you expect to get out of debt, you must understand that it’s going to take work. Once you’ve become successful at getting out of debt, what do you think you’ll be doing with the money you used to spend on monthly credit card payments? You’ll spend right through it if you don’t have a plan. When it comes to your financial success, the credit cards are the enemy.

While I was studying my credit report I realized some big mistakes by either the creditor, the credit bureau and even both. There are several avenues to repair your credit, build positive lines of credit and returning to the good credit path. The reality is that you have 3 credit scores, they are from the major credit reporting agencies, all 3 show different scores, so when applying for credit one company may use a different report than others, it is always good to check your credit score through the 3 bureaus, because scores can vary a lot among them.
